Mary Rasa, formerly of the National Park Service, will describe Christmas during WWII, discussing both civilian and military Christmas customs and celebrations. She will tell us how the homes would be decorated and what food would have been prepared. The talk will be accompanied by images of a home during the holidays, as well as soldiers celebrating in military settings. She will also explain shortages and rationing, and how this affected life.
