Mencken, Billie Holiday and Wallis Warfield; places such as Baltimore's movie theaters, the "big 4" department stores, restaurants and Memorial Stadium; and events such as the Great Depression, Baltimore's role in World War II and the arrival of the Colts and Orioles.
