Join Baltimore historian and educator Wayne R. Schaumburg for an illustrated talk examining the period from 1930 to 1960 when the city's population reached its zenith of just under 950,000. Focusing on people such as Babe Ruth, H. L. Mencken, Billie Holiday and Wallis Warfield; places such as Baltimore's movie theaters, the "big 4" department stores, restaurants and Memorial Stadium; and events such as the Great Depression, Baltimore's role in World War II and the arrival of the Colts and Orioles.
