Celebrate Arab American Heritage Month with author Susan Muaddi Darraj as she discusses her debut novel, Behind You Is the Sea. Set in Baltimore, the novel follows the lives of three multigenerational Palestinian immigrant families creating new lives in America, shedding light on Palestinian culture. Young activists come into conflict with their traditional parents, all while they navigate funerals, weddings and broken hearts and learn to adapt to a new city. famed aviation duo the Wright brothers. When Orville and Wilbur return home to
Dayton to attend a party, they discover their plans for an unpatented flyer is
stolen. It is up to Katherine Wright to solve the case, which quickly turns to
murder. Amanda Flower talks about the novel and the research that is needed
when turning a real historical figure into a sleuth. Amanda Flower is the
author of several mystery series, including the Amish Candy Shop mysteries, the
Amish Matchmaker mysteries and the Farm to Table mysteries. Book sales follow
